Sokolsky DOK (Investlesprom Group):Exhibition award for successful investment project

Sokolsky DOK(Investlesprom Group)  is decorated with the medal of international exhibition-fair “Russian forest”, which took place on December 7-8 in Vologda . The medal was presented by the fair organizers for the implementation of plant modernization investment project. This is the third award of the annual exhibition that Investlesprom Group got for investment activity in the territory of Vologda region..

- Sokolsky DOK was the first in Russia to master glued beams production technology as early as late 80-ties, - explained Olga Cheremnych , investment project manager . – Modernization project implemented at Sokolsky DOK by Investlesprom Group ,is natural development of glued beams manufacture at the plant. 1,2 bln rubl investment project is totally financed by the Bank of Moscow. In May this year the first stage of modernization of glued beams department was accomplished, in November the deliveries of equipment within the programme second stage began, which is expected to be finished in April, 2012. We plan to carry out the project completely by the middle of 2013.

-According to Olga Cheremnych, wood house building market has big potential in Russia: undoubtedly it is not possible to forecast “boom” of wood house building on the background of current situation, but even by pessimistic forecast the market will grow. Not only in the world, but also in Russia. It is conditioned not only by increasing interest in ecological industrial and housing construction, but also by firm safety standards, approved globally.

-Sokolsky DOK is ready to meet increased demand: this year production volumes have increased by 15% in comparison with 2010. Investlesprom’s important competitive advantage is our own raw materials base: the Group’s logging companies are located in the north of Russia- in Karelia, Archangelsk and Vologda regions, Olga Cheremnych added.

OUR REFFERENCE. Constructional sawn timber quality is confirmed by European standard conformance certificate CE (ЕN 14081). Testing of multilayer glued beam bearing structure and quality control are carried out at own certified laboratory in accordance with requirements of European CE (EN 14080) and Japanese standard JAS. At the moment the enterprise is being certified according to European standards CE (EN 14080) and Japanese JAS – agricultural standard for construction glued wood, MAFF, notification № 1152. The whole production chain of wood delivery “ from supplier –to consumer” is certified according to FSC™ (SW-COC-004181/SW-CW-004181) standard.
