On the roof of your house

 The participants were offered to create concept of a unique architectural object visually demonstrating glued beams capabilities as a modern and perspective building material. 23, August, this year finalists will present their designs at the open presentation ceremony at British High School of Design in Moscow. - It will be our first experience of using wood constructions in urban environment,- Semjen Goglev, sales director of House building Department of JVC “Investlesprom”, explained.- However , this experience is also quite unique for the capital, as there actually no modern wood houses in Moscow. We are eager to construct a proper historical object in historical center of Moscow, where fans of bright urban places of interest will make photos with pleasure. It will be a special building, and that is where our interest is, proving that it is quite possible to use traditional building material- wood in a city. As Semjen Goglev pointed out, NLK –Domostroenie as part of Investlesprom Group fruitfully cooperates with Russian architectural community, including senior specialists in the sphere of wood architecture: - Our company has been always notable for its interest in designs of out-of-town construction . Our every house has its own individuality, as it is made for “a specific customer” with consideration of his/her taste , character. The competition is some kind of creativity catalyst for designers, it provides a wider possibilities of choice for us, as the goal of the competition is to bring advanced concepts of contacts btw architecture and wood house building into light by example of our own office , summed up Semjen Goglev. Projects of both experienced and young architects of Moscow, Minsk, S-Petersburg as well as foreigners-from Rumania and Latvia were included in the competition’s short-list. According to the jury practically all sent to the competition projects showed their authors’ special approach towards usage of wood constructions in urban environment. So every finalist has a chance to become a winner, whose name we’ll learn on the 23-d of August.

Our reference. JSC “Sokoljskiy DOK”(Investlesprom Group), the biggest enterprise of complete cycle of wood treatment in the European part of Russia, located in Vologda region, , designs and manufactures products of deep wood processing under NLK –Domostroenie trade –mark . The plant has over semicentennial history of work in the market of house building , it was the first in this country to master the technology of glued beams manufacture. At Sokoljskiy DOK the investment project is being now implemented, by its fulfillment production capacity will reach 105 m3 /y in 2012. All the plant’s products are FSC™ certified .
