Timber industry concern “Kipelovo”: 15 years of successful activity

JSC “LPK Kipelovo” celebrated its 15-th birthday. The concern is part of “Forest resources” Division of “Investlesprom” holding, it is engaged in felling activity and in day-to-day management of such timber industry enterprises in Vologda and Archangelsk regions as JVC “Kovzhinskiy LPH” and JVC “Severlesprom”, LLC “Kirillovskiy LPH”, JSC “Ustjales”. Total rated wood cutting areas of the Group’s enterprises equal to some 1 325 000 ha, volume of harvesting- 782 thous m3 . In 2008 the Group of enterprises controlled by LPK “Kipelovo” was granted international FSC™ certificate. NEPKon auditing company, SmartWood official representative, estimated the level of forest management. FSC certificate confirms that wood products are results of responsible forest utilization. In December 2010 the second inspection audit was carried out. «Kipelovo» is one of the biggest employers of Vologda region. Today over 900 persons work at the enterprise. - All together we have gone through an interesting and complicated process of timber industry concern’s formation and development . Today “Kipelovo” is one of the leaders among timber enterprises of Vologda region. Our wood-cutters, fellers, operators of hydromanupulators win at All-Russia competitions, and our logging technology is appreciated as one of the most advanced for a long time,- said Sergey Pomelov, JSC “LPK “Kipelovo” CEO, in his greeting speech. – I express gratitude to all colleagues, veterans for their labour - all those who contribute their knowledge, efforts, experience and gift . – Professionalism and reliability have become “Kipelovo”s visiting card for 15 years, – underlined Oleg Schubin, harvesting director of JVC “Investlesprom”’s “Forest resources” Division. – It goes without saying that the company’s magnitude will be even more due to the fact that since 2007 the concern has become part of “Investlesprom”, the biggest Russian timber industry Group. – I’d like to say that at the moment we are at the frontier of development new stage, shall overcome all difficulties, and a new pick is in front , – he added. In view of LPK “Kipelovo”’s 15-th birthday best workers of timber concern were awarded with Diplomas for their personal contribution to the enterprise’s development , high labour quality and responsibility. Solemn ceremonies took place at all branches and departments of JSC “LPK “Kilelopvo” : altogether over 100 employees of the enterprise were awarded. Diplomas and gratifying letters of chiefs of Vologda metropolitan regions and Forest complex Department will be presented not only to main production staff but also to service specialists and management personnel.

Joint stock company “Timber concern “Kipelovo” which holds one of the leading places among timber industry companies of Russian North, was founded in 1996 in Vologda. At the beginning a full name of the company was joint stock company of the open type “Kipelovo Forestry Enterprise”. The peculiarity of the company’s establishment was that in contrast to other timber enterprises “KFE” started from nothing, not on the basis of the existing timber industry companies. «Kipelovo» heavily engaged itself in felling activity, investments were made, over 500 working places were organized. By stockholders' meeting decision dt.August,11, 1999 joint stock company of the open type “Kipelovo Forestry Enterprise” was renamed in JSC “Timber industry concern “Kipelovo”. The enterprise invested much funds in timber complex and material and technical basis creation , it aimed at investing programmes of modern technologies application. And already by the results of 1999 «Kipelovo” developed into powerful and independent timber industry and trade structure. Since 2007 JSC “LPK “Kipelovo” has been the part of “Investlesprom” international timber industry holding. In 2008 the Holding implemented a 340 mln rubl investment project of logging machines upgrade, thanks to it almost one third of the machines were renewed, harvesters, forwarders, timber lorries, servicing units were purchased, new roads were constructed. The concern’s development continues- now as part of the biggest timber industry group.
