Segezha PPM (Investlesprom group) continues to improve paper-making machines efficiency

On June, 4, this year, at 15 p.m. new system of paper sheet feeding at PMM №10 of Sehezha PPM was put into operation . This is next stage in PMM production efficiency increase.

 From now on, paper sheet is fed in microcrepe unit of PMM and reel-section works according to «Foil Force» system – with the help of modern vacuum conveyers. Such method, designed and installed by «Metso Paper» company (Finland) specialists , is used for the first time in Europe. There are no any analogs with a single PMM in the world producing sack micro crepe paper.

- . - With new system we expect not only to reduce time for paper sheet feeding , improve its reliability , but also to secure a higher level of machinery exploitation safety, - says Alexander Sivkov, Paper Mill modernization projects manager. - Thanks to economy of the installed system operating costs for sack paper manufacture will be also reduced considerably. The contract with «Metso Paper» company was signed at the beginning of October last year in Moscow. The equipment were delivered to the Mill on April, 20, this year. Assembly was carried out during weeklong maintenance halt at Segezha PPM, started on the 31-st of May this year. Contract –supervision was done by «Metso Paper», manual editing -by JSC “Prombummontazh”, installation of electrical network and automatic systems was made JSC “OKA”. Besides JSC “OKA” specialists , experts of «Metso Autоmation» took part in equipment test drive and balancing and commissioning. Thus, investment project “The system of paper sheet feeding at PPM-10” is successfully implemented. The main announced aim of the project was increase of economic work efficiency, improvement of the enterprise’s cost competitiveness. Some 20 mln rubl are invested in the project, pay-back period of which is a year and a half.
