Company’s policy

On December, 20, 2007 CJVC “Investlesprom” officially approved the “Policy in the field of responsible forest management and procurement” look here. This program document states in particular: “This policy is the most important element of responsible forests management system and declares the main principles of enterprise’s production activity in respect of the impact on environmental and social sphere.”

Voluntary certification

CJVC “Investlesprom” implements forest management and raw wood supply chain certification according to international standards of FSC.

Within development of responsible forest use and procurement, CJVC “Investlesprom” undertakes:

-         to lead its activity in compliance with national legislation and international conventions;

-         to control the legality of forest products origin from its suppliers and contractors;

-         to realize production activity planning taking into account environmental impact evaluation;

-         to consult interested parties concerning natural environment protection;

-         to ensure minimum possible level of negative influence on the environment during implementation of production activity due to the choice of optimal forest use mode, identification and conservation of forests of high conservational value, habitats of rare species of flora and fauna, key biotopes and biodiversity elements at leased territories of the forest fund;

-         to participate in an open discussion of ecological and social issues with interested parties and the public at international, national and regional levels.

Forest management and supply chain Certification evaluation involves:

-         logging enterprises directly participating in forest fund management and contractor organizations working at the territory being certified;

-         sawing, wood processing and pulp and paper productions;

-         forest trade and transport organizations;

-         raw wood suppliers.

What is FSC?

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international non-commercial organization which directs its activity towards formation of a socially responsible, ecologically sustainable and economically balanced forestry management and forest use.
