“Polar Bear”
Bleached coniferous and deciduous pulp production development at Segezha PPM. A modern, balanced by capacities, production of 845 thousand tons of pulp per year is being created on the basis of existing enterprise (JSC “Segezha PPM”). The project is directed towards bleached pulp production that is a precondition for development of new kinds of product (white sack paper, cardboards). Here the wood will be used complexly including hardwood. Files: Polar Bear Project
“LWC-Kama”
LWC paper production development at PPM “Kama”. The project is the first stage of coated papers production organization in Russia and will be directed to meeting the demand for coated mechanical papers and replacement of a part of import supplies of the analogue paper from Europe. The project is aimed at light weight coated papers production organization at PPM “KAMA” with total volume 85 000 tons.
“Vologda Paper Manufacture”
Production of a wide range of coated papers both with mechanical pulp content (LWC and MWC) and purely pulp one (WFC) with the volume of 600 thous. tons per year at the industrial platform of Sokol’skii PPM. Thanks to this project we plan to soon replace coated paper import to Russian market and to start export of our products to developing countries. Within the project a high level of integration is achieved in half-finished products as well as in heat and electric energy self-sufficiency. Here the wood will be used complexly as at Segezha PPM, including hardwood.
Contemporary productions of plywood
Karelia MDF (settl. Pindushi, Republic of Karelia) and MDF Novaya Vyatka (Novovyatsk town, Kirov region). Creation of capacities for production of 250 thous. cub.m. per year of MDF/HDF boards at each plant including for own furniture plant and finishing materials for building industry. The start-up is planned for 4Q 2010. The total volume of investments by each project is more than 5 mlrd. rubles.
