Russian-Finnish dialog in the field of Timber Industry Complex:

The delegation of large Russian entrepreneurs that accompanied the Government Chairman, Vladimir Putin, in his work visit to Finland, included the General Director of JSC “Investlesprom”, Dmitrii Maslov. The delegation was headed by the president of Russian Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Association , Aleksandr Shohin.

On June, 3 in the visit’s framework there was the meeting of Russian and Finnish business circles regarding problems of Russian and Finnish trade and economic collaboration with the participation of Vladimir Putin. During the meeting the strategic perspectives of business partnership intensification were discussed including the possibility of joint long-term programs for development regarding interaction in the key economic fields.

Speaking to the participants of the meeting Dmitrii Maslov touched on the theme of Russian and Finnish collaboration development in the forest industry.

The quotation from statement of the RF Government Chairman, V.V. Putin, before Russian and Finnish business circles representatives:

- I will separately mention our cooperation in the forest complex. We made the principal decision — to develop in Russia the productions of the profound wood processing. We announced about these plans long ago, we formulated them, our partners know about that. We are moving towards our traditional partners. But I would like to underline again: in regards to our strategic plans of wood processing development at RF territory — they remain invariable. And that means we should opportunely agree on how we will live in future and how we will build up our relationships in this sensitive sphere.
