The camera was bought with the money collected by Investlesprom employees at the charitable auction that took place during New Year holidays within “For children of forest settlements” programme. |

During the meeting V.V.Putin pointed out positive tendencies in the development of Karelia, in particular considerable increase of investment as well as proficit budget. On the 4-th of December 1998 the event significant for Medvejegorskiy region took place. Almost within ten years before that date the economy of Medvejegorsk as well as of the whole Republic of Karelia suffered looses annually and daily – dozens of small, medium and big industrial and agricultural enterprises were closing , entire industrial branches were falling into decay . Grand opening of a new plant of “Karelia DSP” company (at the moment belonging to Investlesprom Group) became almost the first signs of economy expansion at least in Medvejegorsk
