In March-May the volumes of SPPM’s shipped products exceeded the before-crisis level
Thanks to the activities of sale promotion, entering into the new regional markets and strong presence at traditional markets starting with February 2009 JSC “Segezha PPM” was able to increase its sales volumes and provide a portfolio of orders and paper machines capacity utilization. Beginning with March shipped products volumes exceeded the before-crisis level.
In March the shipped sack paper volume exceeded the same indicator of 2008 by 8% and amounted to 23,1 thous. tons. The positive tendency continued in April and May 2009: shipped products volume reached 22,7 and 22,3 thous. tones respectively while the plan was a bit more than 20 thous. tons for April and 19 thous. tons for May (shipped volume increase by 6.2 and 7.4% relative to last year).

Printing tests of light-weight coated paper to be produced in Russia this year, were successfully carried out at Pushkinskaya Ploschad Printing House in Moscow
In April a strategically important event for all Russian pulp and paper industry and domestic printing industry took place. Printing tests of light-weight coated paper which production will be started this year at Kama pulp and paper mill (Russia, Investlesprom Holding), were successfully carried out at Pushkinskaya Ploschad Printing House in Moscow. Till now all coated paper used in Russia have been imported, mainly from Finland and Germany. |

On April, 24 the presentation of the annual All-Russian forest industry award Lesprom Awards was held in Moscow. This year50 companies claimed to19 nominations, 12 top-managers, 6 pressmen. In the nomination ’Investment Project of the year’ the jury under the chairmanship of Federal Forestry Agency Director, Aleksey Savinov awarded the prize to CJSC “Investlesprom” for the realization of the Vyatsk plywood mill construction project in Kirov city.

region. The construction of VPM – one of the largest plywood mills on the
territory

Kirov
region – was carried out in the scope of investment project of ZAO Investlesprom and was financed by Bank of
Moscow
in close cooperation with
Kirov
region administration. The total price of the project of top priority amounted 3000 million rubles.
