The relationship between SPOK and its consulted companies can be illustrated by the example of its interaction with “Severnaya Lesozagotovitel’naya kompania” (SLZK) in Karelia. In 2006 the partnership with SPOK went smoothly since there were little barely disturbed forests. The issue of biotopes detection interested the company so much that in collaboration with SPOK it developed “Field key biotopes identifier of Middle Karelia” in 2007 and in 2009 such identifier was developed by SPOK for all Karelia. SPOK taught this business to company’s specialists and according to contract’s terms it continued territories’ inspection in search for especially valuable forest areas.
